Indication:

Chronic constipation – take roasted seeds, alone or mixed liberally with other foods.

 

Constituents:

Lecithin, phytine, globulin, sesamin.

Uses:

Emetic- take decoction of entire plant.

Antiasthmatic (bronchodilator) – pound seeds, wrap in thin cloth and inhale frequently.

High blood pressure –eat as vegetable

 

Active component

Apiin (glucoside) mannitol, inositol.

Bulb- glutamine, asparagines, tyrosine, mannitol.

Fruit- apigenin, choline, linase

Volatile oil – d-limonene; a-pinene, cineole, cymene, a-terpineol
