Uses: Treatment of ringworm and other fungi infections of the skin.

 

Crush leaves and rub juice on affected parts.

 

Active ingredients: Chrysophanic acid (chrysophanil); oxymethyk anthraquinone; aloe-emodin; rhein; cassiaxanthone.

Scientific names: Nerium indicum Mill., Nerium oleander, Nerium odorum Soland.

 

Common name: Baladre, dog bane, Ceylon tree, oleander, rose bay, south sea rose.

 

Use: Crush leaves, mix with oil and apply on lesions. Do not apply on raw surface. Milky juice of the plant is irritating. Not to be taken internally. This  preparation is for Herpes zoster skin disease.

 

The active components are: Glycoside, oleandrin, tannin, volatile oil

Scientific name: Persea Americana Mill. , Persea gratissima Gaertn.

 

Other name: Aguacate , Alligator pear, Avocado

 

It is said to be effective against rheumatism and neuralgia.

You need to pulverize seeds or bark, mix with oil and apply on affected area as counterirritant.

 

Its decoction (leaves) can be a tea.

 

The bark of the abukado have volatile fatty acid and methyl chavicol.
