We have a canon pixma mp497 with cis or continous ink system and all of the sudden it stop printing and lights are flashing on the buttons above left side of the printer. In the small LCD of the printer it says “P” “07”. In the computer monitor it says that ” ink absorber is almost full. To solve this problem i followed the instruction i found on the net.
First turn off the printer
Then simultaneously hold power and stop/rest button for 15 secs
Then without releasing the power button push the stop/reset button for 4 times.
Release both the power button and stop reset button.
A dialogue box will appear on the computer monitor just cancel it.
