I bought my dremel 3000 online with additional 75 accessories for just 2280 pesos including deliver. I opted to order online because the store price of the dremel 3000 is around 3500 pesos excluding the 75 accessories.
Tried the cutting wheel included with the dremel 3000, used it to cut a slotted angle bar after a few minutes it was a success. For it’s size it is really a powerful tool.
After the angle bar i tested it on wood. After a few tries, i just gave up… The included cutting wheel is not applicable for wood.
I have an old broken scanner and with the dremel 3000 i cut a rectangular hole on it. The cut was not that clean, due to the heat it produce while rotating it melted parts of the scanner. I needed to use the sanding wheel of the dremel 3000 to smoothen the area.
Included also is an etching bit. Tried it on the glass of the scanner but it didn’t made an impact or scratch. Tried it on wood and scribbled my name with no problem.
Overall the dremel 3000 is a very handy tool although their are somethings you need to buy aside from the basic wheel or bit to be able to maximize its full potential. One of those is the wood cutting wheel , as the name implies you need it to cut wood, if you want to cut glass then you need a diamond coated wheel. It you want to engrave on glass or hard object you need a diamond wheel point. For a better grip you need to also buy a flex attachment.
