In recognition of his pioneering works on pest model of rats (ricefield and warehouse), Asian corn borer and green leafhopper which hold promise as tools for forecasting population trends and for scheduling pest control application as well as practical training tools for students of crop protection by way of computer test management games to plot pest control strategies. His works on sampling methods for assessing damage and crop losses by pests likewise provide technicians and researchers faster and reliable means of estimating crop losses.
