Scientific names:

Toddalia asiatica, Toddalia aculeate, Toddalia ambigua, toddalia effuse, Paullinia asiatica.

 

Also known as:

Atangen, bugkau, bukau,guiot, kaboat, palina, subit, wild orange tree

 

Parts used  in herbal medicine preparations;

Leaves, bark, fruits, roots

 

Uses:

Dyspepsia – chew fresh leaves as needed

 

Constituents:

Volatile oil, toddalolactone, citronella, linalool.

Stem, bark – aculeatin; aculeatin hydrate, colorless substance.
