Darak

Scientific names:

Oryza sativa, oryza, aristata , orza glutinosa, oryza Montana, Oryza praecox

Also known as:

Rice bran, rice polishing, tikitiki

 

Uses:

Beriberi- and other vitamin deficiencies- take 25% decoction as tea or make bran into cookies or mix with other bakery products.

Laxative – boil tow tablespoon of darak in one glass of water, cool, stir well and drink.

 

Constituents:

Vitamin A,, B complex and D, and E, fat , carbohydrates, proteins, adenine, choline, arachidic, behenic, lignoceric, palmitic and oleic acids; phytoseterin
