Last February 11, 2015 ABS-CBN officially launched its ISDB-T signal or digital signal within it they officially announced that the SkyTV+ is now available for a hefty price of 2500 pesos. I do believe it is a rip-off , for a few thousand pesos additional you can already buy a 14 inch LCD TV. The Skytv+ box doesn’t even have a hdmi output, video recording and usb video playback.
If you will look at Alibaba a wholesale price of isdb-t tuner is about 10-15 dollars or 450 pesos to 900 pesos.
I don’t what to be a victim of ABS CBN overpriced black box , so as usual i tried to search for other isdb-t or mahiwagang black box on the net and i found one, Cybertecbox Mahiwagang black box. Specification wise it is a mile of improvement compared to Skytv+ mahiwagang black box, for one, the Cybertecbox have an hdmi connection. It also have recording function on which you can record your favorite program. You can also make it to automatically record your favorite show even if your not at home, you just need to program what channel and when should it commence the recording. Best of all, you can record and watch a different channel simultaneously. For all of these features you would think that it is way expensive but looking at the ad of the seller on OLX and it says 2,350 pesos only…wow.. it much cheaper than Skytv+.
If i have an extra cash this month i would definitely buy this one and post an update here…
pero wala siyang exclusive channels
para saan pa ang exclusive channel kung puro lumang palabas din lang laman. saka ch 2 , ch, 7 ch 5 nga lang hirap ka nang manuod kasi nagkakasabay yun magagandang palabas atleast sa cybertecbox pwede ka manuod ng isang chanel at yun isang kasabay na palabas irecord mo nalang.

the bundled antenna is not as good as tvplus, (I also have this). Best to use with an external antenna.
usb video playback tested works with a 1080p mp4.
hdmi output tested working up to 1080p.
show recording not yet tested.
